Keifer and Shawna Thompson, better known as Thompson Square, have become new parents to an adorable black puppy named Etta.  They tweeted a picture of her from backstage at the Grand Ole Opry last night.  Etta is a Snorkie, which is a cross between a Miniature Schnauzer and a Yorkshire Terrier.  According to Shawna she is 11 weeks old and is named after the late Etta James.

Risdon turned 3 last Thursday and my hubby fixed up this old Hummer that didn’t run a few months ago.  It was an ugly grey with pink and teal stripes.  Well, with the help from his friend Rod, Justin has made it a sweet ride!!!  NOW it’s SUPER FUN and Risdon loved getting it for his Birthday!  I think we need to maybe get Risdon a job here at the station delivering prizes around town!!! Too soon???

Well I’m certain Ashton Kutcher is sleeping better at night now!! It looks like Miranda  and Ashton have made up.  

Over the weekend Miranda and Ashton both attended the celebrity-filled  Barnstable Brown Gala on the eve of the Kentucky Derby and Miranda tweeted a picture of her and Ashton with their heads pressed together and said, “@aplusk [Ashton’s Twitter name] here it is y’all. He is sweet and lives country music! [We think she meant to type loves] For real!  and he likes randaritas!”

The issue between the two was because of the incident earlier this year when Ashton was a presenter on the ACM Awards, he came out on stage with two of his buddies and all three of them were dressed in Western attire.  Ashton sang a bit of George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart” and afterward, Miranda tweeted, “Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me? Watching it back now and I’m kinda wondering?”  Justin Moore also felt like he was mocking country music, but Ashton tweeted, , “Miranda Lambert I Am One Of The biggest country Music fans you’ve ever met. Wasn’t making fun at all.”

Dierks Bentley has been chatting about the Twitter account that showed up a couple of weeks ago for his tour bus, @GoldieBus.  It was light hearted and fun at the begining.  “Whoever is impersonating my bus is obviously doing a pretty good job.   There’s some good tweets.  I think they’re pretty funny,” said Dierks.  “They’re pretty direct.  Apparently I didn’t know, but our bus is kind of fed up with me and the guys in the band and she’s finding ways to make fun of us very often.  And she’s correct in a lot of the aspects.  It hurts sometimes the stuff she writes but I enjoy reading it.”

Then last night Dierks was not feeling the same kind of love for @GoldieBus.  Yesterday afternoon she tweeted, “Up here in Maine tonight, which is, of course, known for its lobster. Unlike the band’s bunks…..known for their crabs.”  Just before taking the stage Dierks tweeted, “getting ready to rock it here tonight in Maine… thought id check twitter one last time and unfortunately came across @goldiebus tweet…. not cool. totally over the line. kind of pissed me off. going to direct that energy towards the show. comin in HOT!! let’s do it MAINE!”  At last check, @GoldieBus had not responded.

My sweet girlfriend posted a video (so I thought) on her Facebook page of a happy dog super excited that his owner is home from overseas.  Love those military welcome home type videos.  It’s always a happy good cry!!!  Anyhoo, I clicked the link to simply watch the video.  It was hosted by this “Chill” site.  Well, they didn’t ask if they would be “allowed to post on my page”, if they could “welcome me to their site so I’m now a member”….NOTHING came up!  It just played the video and that was that.

Later I went to my email that’s linked to my facebook and “Chill” was welcoming me to their site because now I’m a member AND look who else has not become a member because I shared the video with them!!!!  WHAT?!?!?!  I did not!!  I then went to my Facebook page (search Kim Stewart or Kim KSCS so we can be friends…yay) and they had posted the video to my page and one of my friends had even shared it on his page.  DRAT!!!  I don’t want us to feel we have to be taken over without our permission so that’s why I’m ranting.  I’ve written the company and “expressed my disapproval” and will let you know what they say.  Thanks for listening!!!  Love you-Kim

Church criticizes both the judges and contestants on shows like American Idol and The Voice, on which Shelton is a judge. “Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green turn around in a red chair, you got a deal? That’s crazy,” says Church. “I don’t know what would make an art­ist do that. You’re not an artist.” He went on to say that he believes getting involved in these shows taints an artist’s legacy. “Once your career becomes about some­thing other than the music, then that’s what it is. I’ll never make that mistake. I don’t care if I starve.” YIKES!!! He might starve if fans revolt and feel slammed the way Miranda and Blake do.

After the issue came out, Lambert and Shelton took to Twitter to VOICE their opinions.  Shelton linked to a post reporting on Church’s comments, adding “I wish I misunderstood this . . .,” and Lambert, who rose to fame on the country singing competition Nashville Star, tweeted, “Thanks Eric Church for saying I’m not a real artist.” Lambert noted that fellow stars Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Kelly Clarkson also broke through on similar shows, and she sarcastically wrote, “You’re welcome for the tour in 2010,” referring to his stint opening up for her shows that year. Yeeeeeeoooowwww!!!!!

Just hours ago, Eric Church is trying to correct his statements.  “The comment I made to Rolling Stone was part of a larger commentary on these types of reality television shows and the perception they create, not the artists involved with the shows themselves,” Church said in a statement released. “The shows make it appear that artists can shortcut their way to success. There are a lot of artists due to their own perseverance that have gone on to be successful after appearing on these shows, but the real obstacles come after the cameras stop rolling. Every artist has to follow up television appearances with dedication towards their craft, but these shows tend to gloss over that part and make it seem like you can be ordained into stardom.”

“I have a lot of respect for what artists like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and my friend Miranda Lambert have gone on to accomplish,” Church further clarified. “This piece was never intended to tear down any individual and I apologize to anybody I offended in trying to shed light on this issue. I am grateful for all of the artists and fans that have supported me along my journey and certainly did not mean for my comments to undermine their talent and achievements.”
